We are very proud of our Professional Staff at Sport-O-Rama. Their many years of competitive and teaching experience has produced many National, International and World Competitors and Champions. In addition, we are happy to have as a guest instructor for the summer, Evelyn Rossoukhi Schneider, European World and Olympic Coach, Austrian Olympic Coach, Austrian Recipient of the IPSU Gold Medal Award for coaching.

OUR FACILITY
· Two Full Size Ice Surfaces Mirrored Ballet/Dance Room
· 15,000 Sq. Ft. Adjacent Health Club Jumping Harness
· Dehumidified and Temperature Controlled Facilities Game Room
· Spacious Lobby located in the center of the two rinks with a large refreshment stand that serves home style cooking, with everything from snacks to full meals
· Our Sport Shop, operated by C & L Sports, Inc. is available to service the most discriminating skaters’ needs in equipment, wearing apparel and skate sharpening.
THE PROGRAM
The program fee includes Freestyle, and an On-Ice Sweatshop/Technical Skills Clinic, Choreographic Clinic and a Spin Clinic. Students will also participate in Video Taping and a Skating Exhibition.
ALL ON-ICE PROGRAMS ARE INCLUDED IN THE FEE FOR SUMMER SCHOOL. SKATERS ATTENDING THE SUMMER PROGRAM ARE EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL OF THESE CLINICS.
SWEATSHOP AND TECHNICAL SKILLS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday–The program is designed and taught by Mr. Peter Burrows and combines power stroking, balance exercises and stamina drills. It is designed to physically strengthen the skater throughout the Summer Training Program.
CHOREOGRAPHIC CLINIC: Wednesday – Taught by Olympic, World, and National coach Inese Bucevica. Students will be taught the use of musical expression as it relates to their programs. Various moves and footwork utilizing many different types of music will be used during this clinic.
SPIN CLINIC: Friday – Taught by Gail Livingston and staff and will stress creative spin technique with the focus on speed and proper body positions.
OPTIONAL OFF-ICE PROGRAMS
OFF-ICE JUMP CLINIC: Mr. Peter Burrows will be conducting a new optional off-ice jump clinic for juvenile and above skaters, utilizing his unique approach to multi rotational jumps. Skaters will work off ice with Mr. Burrows on the advanced jump techniques required for the demanding triple and quadruple jumps needed for competitive skaters.
PHYSICAL TRAINING: - Under the direction of Kat Arbor – Masters degrees in Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware and Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. USFSA Triple Gold Medallist and is a PSA Senior rated coach. All programs will utilize the Lifeplex Health Club and will be conducted by Lenny Ferber, B.S.exercise physiology, A.C.E certified and owner Fit Dimension, Inc.
OFF-ICE DANCE–Under the direction of Katherine Healy Burrows, at the Health Club Dance Studio, consists of basic classical ballet skills as they relate to competitive figure skating programs. The class also stresses musical self-expression and allows the skater to learn how to relate to their audience during their competitive programs.
OFF-ICE STRETCH CLASS – Under the direction of Inese Bucevica, Olympic, World & National Coach. This class is designed to develop the strength and flexibility required for proper body alignment of the skater.
TESTING: USFSA Tests at all levels are scheduled for July and August.
VIDEO: Sport-O-Rama has a full video set up. The skaters and instructors utilize video analysis of lessons and programs to improve skaters’ style and techniques. Videotaping is available for all skaters at no additional cost.
EXHIBITION: 24th Annual Skating Exhibition Approximately 35 skaters from all levels will perform their choice of a show or competitive program before a large audience.
JUNIOR CLUB: Monday and Thursday - A transitional program, introducing the students to the fundamentals of figure skating. The Club meets for one hour each Monday and Thursday during which time, lessons are provided on a group basis by professionals of the highest caliber, including World and Olympic Coaches. Many of our competitive skaters started their careers in the Junior Club.

Additional Freestyle Sessions for skaters enrolled in the Summer Program is $10.00 per hour. The complete program with the exception of Off-Ice Jump Clinic, Off-Ice Dance and Off-Ice Physical Training is included in the above prices
SUMMER RESIDENCE ACCOMMODATIONS
Residence accommodations are available. Approximate costs are $160-200 per week.
