The College Development League

RETURNS SUMMER of 2024! Birth years 2006 - 2010

Games will be played on Monday through Thursday nights with no Friday or weekend games. Team and individual registrations accepted.

The schedule will consist of 12 games (includes playoffs.) Jerseys provided by the league. Featuring an Upper & Lower Division*

AGES 7-10 Dates: 4/14 to 6/16 (Evaluation Skate 4/8 at 5:30pm teams based on skill level)

Weekly Sunday Morning Full Ice Games at 8:00AM OR 9:15AM PLUS 8 SKILL CLINICS on Wednesdays at 6:45pm

Learn to Play Hockey Clinics

For Children with Little or No Experience (ages 5-13 grouped by ability and age)
Wednesdays  6:20pm—7:20pm

In this clinic children will learn basic hockey skills while improving their skating. The drills will emphasize having fun and staying active while being supported by staff with over 20+ years of learn to play hockey experience.

**Participants who need equipment should arrange a fitting with the rink prior to the start of the clinic. A limited amount of equipment is available through the rink. For more information contact Aidan or Todd 845-356-3919 info@sportorama.com.


Pro Stride Skating Clinics -

Returns Summer of 2024 Saturday and Sunday August 3 & 4! 9am to 1:30pm

✓ Ages 7 - Adult Some programs are split Group A (Ages 7 - 11) & Group B (Ages 11 - Adult)

✓ Progressive Skating Development Building block approach improves players overall speed, quickness, power and efficiency

✓ Achievement Testing Program for eligible players ✓ Max 36 players on ice ✓ Ice time 4.5 - 8 hours

In order to teach players correct technique and break "bad habits" we will slow them down to learn how to perform each maneuver correctly. Once the technique is mastered, then players will learn to do it with more power, and finally at full speed. "Slow is smooth, smooth is FAST."

New York Rangers - Rookie League

Ages 6 - 10

Practices on Mondays 5pm to 6pm / Games on Sundays 2:15pm to 3:15pm

Participants will learn the basic game and team concepts, plus, they will build important characteristics on and off the ice: teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Once a week, for 10 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to play games led by Rangers staff. It is a fun way to meet new teammates and play some hockey.

Your league fee includes:

  • 1 game plus 1 practice a week per season

  • No long distance travel as all games are hosted at your local rink

  • Junior Rangers jersey


New York Rangers - Learn to Play Hockey

Ages 5 - 10

Sundays 1:05pm - 2:05pm Feb 25th to May 12th

Learn to Play is a program that provides a unique opportunity for families to join the hockey community and for participants to develop fundamental skills to help them succeed both on and off the ice. Created jointly by the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League (NHL). Learn to Play’s goal is to inspire youth and welcome more families into the hockey community.

Stick and Puck
$25.00 per session - 4/27 Sat 3pm-4:30pm, 4/28 Sun 3pm-4:30pm

Stick and Puck: Stick & Puck is designed for skaters to practice individual skills, skating, shooting, passing. Scrimmages are not allowed during this event. Private, semiprivate or group hockey lessons are not allowed. If under 18 years of age full Hockey equipment is required.` Helmets are always required for all participants. Goaltenders, players, and parents all must register and pay on line at sportorama.com. Participants must check in at the front desk. Fighting and horseplay will not be tolerated.

Open Hockey: Open Hockey rules for all participants – 14U and Up Goaltenders and players all must register and pay on line at sportorama.com. All participants register online and complete the waiver and visitor form. No lessons can be given during this time. USA Hockey’s full equipment guidelines required + Full facial protection required for those under 18. Full facial protection recommended for those over 18. Participants must check in at the front desk. There is no checking allowed. Fighting and horseplay will not be tolerated. Violation of these rules or any unruly behavior will result in ejection from the ice with no refund.

Spring Mid-Hudson Steel Training Program - March - June 2024

Summer - Camp - July 2024

Our camps & clinics are designed for skill development, great play time, and more. Sessions focus on the fundamental areas of stick-handling, shooting, and power-skating in confined spaces. Technical training begins at the start of each day, followed by station-based skill sessions, culminating in competitive game play at the end of each day.
