Learn to Skate

Sport-O-Rama offers multiple programs for people with a desire to master the skill of ice skating.  We have developed a world class program that provides all participants a positive atmosphere to achieve their goals, whether they are to simply learn to ice skate for fun or to become a hockey player/figure skater.

JUNIOR RANGERS Learn to Play Hockey Program - OFFERED SEPTEMBER - APRIL

Learn the basics for ages 5-10. Getting started in hockey has never been easier or more convenient! This introductory program will teach your child the basic skills of skating, stick-handling, passing and shooting through (10) 1-hour lessons.

LITTLE SAINTS Learn to Play Hockey Program - OFFERED MAY - AUGUST


Introductory clinic for children ages 5-13 with little or no experience. Designed to prepare players for instructional league games, learn basic hockey skills while improving skating. The drills emphasize having fun and staying active. Coaching Staff have 20+ years of Learn to Play experience and dedicated skating instructors.

Junior Rangers Rookie SERIES


Play the Game! Now that your child has the basics covered, let's take it up a notch! Geared for ages 6-10 each player will have the chance to put their skills to the test in a fun and competitive environment. Participants will learn the basic game and team concepts, plus, they will build important characteristics on and off the ice: teamwork, responsibility, and respect. Once a week, for 10 weeks, your child will have the opportunity to play games led by Rangers staff. It is a fun way to meet new teammates and play some hockey!

Ramapo Saints Youth Hockey Association

The rich history and winning traditions of the Ramapo Youth Hockey Association (RYHA) started in 1975 and continues as we approach our 50th anniversary. We strive to develop the fundamental skills that are required to compete at all levels, along while fostering a competitive spirit, good sportsmanship, and an overall appreciation of the sport of ice hockey. To accomplish this goal, the RYHA continues to enhance its program for the each season, in addition to providing a coaching staff of highly qualified professionals with a solid background in hockey instruction.
